If you are currently pursuing an MBA or an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, we invite you to apply for an unpaid internship at Cambridge Wilkinson. Our program is open-ended, designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of a career in investment banking. The program is delivered in a highly virtual setting with occasional New York City Metro and San Francisco Bay Area day events. Our program is ideal for the student that is seeking a deeply enriching opportunity that does not require commuting to an office daily.
Our internship programs operate on a rolling basis and opportunities to join the program are open throughout the year. Contact us as soon as possible as opportunities are extremely competitive.
Interns are assigned to a Managing Director and will provide comprehensive research, diligence and analysis for middle market companies in one or more of the following industries: Financial Institutions, Fintech, Healthcare, Technology, Media & Telecom, Industrials, Consumer Retail, Natural Resources, Real Estate, Leveraged Finance, Equity and Debt Capital Markets. We aim to provide a broad exposure for our interns through cross-staffing where possible.
Our program includes initiatives to help interns assimilate into the organization and learn the skills required to be successful in investment banking. Examples include a mentor program with your assigned Managing Director, comprehensive on-the-job training, performance evaluations and various forums designed to provide interns with exposure to senior professionals. Your training may continue throughout the year as you work on live projects, learning first-hand how we deliver for our clients.
Through on-the-job training and mentorship, interns develop a broad range of financial and business skills as well as knowledge of industries, markets and economies. Responsibilities will include:
Strong analytical and technical skills are a must, as is a creative approach to solving problems. Beyond that, we look for strong communication and influencing skills plus the high levels of integrity to put clients’ needs first. Given the variety of assignments and our remote working culture, our successful interns should be able to multitask and are self-motivated, have a record of academic achievement, and the determination to build a long-term career in investment banking.
